National Level 1-3

After completing our Ribbon level program, children move through to a National Level class. In these classes there is a greater focus on the development of strength, flexibility and body tension. Skill learning becomes more technical and routines are put together. At this level, there is more discipline required, but learning harder skills is fun!

Training hours increase to 2-6 hours per week. We understand that children participate in gymnastics for many different reasons and we aim to provide a pathway to higher level gymnastics for everyone. At our Club it is possible for your child to reach National level 3 training once a week, it will just take time. If your child is motivated to move through quickly, we can offer extra classes to keep up with their demands. This flexibility is important and we will cooperate with the needs of your child and your family.

Interclub competitions at this level are optional. We provide an amazing competition experience for children who choose to get involved. Our priority is to instil a sense of self belief and provide balanced thoughts on the topic of winning. In competition winning is everything, but it is not only the gold medal that shows you have won – there are many other ways to win!

Our level 1-3 competition teams have competed with excellent results in the last few years, with a 2nd placed level 2 team in the Waverley Invitational in 2009. Our Pre level 1 team placed 2nd Overall at the MLC Invitational 2010. Our Pre level 3 team placed 3rd All Around at MLC and 4th Overall at the Regional State Pennant event in 2010.
